Before you start using the watch, depending on the watch model you will either need to get a nano SIM-card or an eSIM profile. Below you will find our recommendations.
XPLORA 1, XPLORA 3S, XPLORA GO: a SIM-card with unlimited voice minutes and 100-200 MB of mobile data is sufficient, as the watch can't use more than 200MB per month.
XPLORA 4 and X5 Play: data volume depends on the personal use. The watch will use more mobile data if you send short videos and songs*. The SIM-card should have at least 400 MB of mobile data per month, besides unlimited voice minutes.
XGO2: the watch currently uses up to 200 MB, but the data usage might increase in the future*.
* The watch can be connected to WiFi to lower the data usage.
This list is being updated and only applies to the watches currently sold on our web shop - watches with an older firmware might not be able to use all the SIM cards on this list.
Important: We cannot guarantee the compatibility of different providers, even if they use the same network of those listed below.

* Switzerland has partly switched off the 2G network. We only recommend our 4G watches, namely: XPLORA 4, X5 Play (eSIM) and XGO2. The other watches might not work properly.
** Three SIM-card: calls might not work temporarily on smartwatches. Issue should be fixed by Three within the next firmware update.
Note that not all providers operate 2G or 3G-networks. Before you purchase a SIM-card from one of the compatible providers, make sure that they provide the necessary network. XPLORA 1 and XPLORA Care use only 3G, while XPLORA 3S and XPLORA GO only use 2G network.
Like all smartphones, XPLORA works on its own and therefore needs a separate SIM-card with an individual number (note: so-called twin SIMs / multi-SIMs can't be used). Both contracts and pay as you go SIM-cards will work.
