At Xplora we care deeply about providing your family with a safe and reliable connection.
AT&T is shutting down its 3G service as part of an ongoing plan to improve its wireless network. In light of this cellular network change, we are providing you with a free SIM-card upgrade for your Xplora watch.
Follow the simple instructions below to replace your current SIM-card with our Gigs T-Mobile SIM-card:
- Check the last email you received from Xplora to get a new phone number for your watch. Your new SIM-card is already active.
Replace your current SIM-card with the SIM-card you received in the envelope:.
XGO2 users: Use the screwdriver that was included in your Xplora watch box to open the SIM-card slot. Once you have removed the lid, withdraw the current SIM-card. Place your new SIM-card with the chip facing up and push it all the way in until it clicks firmly into place.
X5 Play users: Use the SIM-eject tool that was included in the Xplora watch box to withdraw the SIM-card tray. Replace your current SIM-card with the new one and push the SIM tray into the watch until you notice that it's firmly closed.
- Next step is changing your watch’s phone number in the Xplora app:
Open the watch's tab on your parental app and scroll down until you see the option “Change SIM-card”. Enter your watch's new phone number and click on OK to save the changes.
- Turn the watch off and on to finalize the SIM-card change.
- Continue using your Xplora Connect service with your Xplora watch!
